Wiregrass Electric rolls out program to help consumers stabilize electric bills

Many consumers, if given the chance, would like to level out their electric bills by paying nearly the same amount each month.

Now, with a new levelized billing program through Wiregrass Electric Cooperative, consumers can even out monthly payments.

Electric costs fluctuate with the seasons -- higher during the winter and summer months. Levelized billing makes it much easier to balance your budget because this program helps even out the peaks and valleys of energy use by using an average of the previous twelve months energy use.

Most residential members with good credit history are eligible for this program.  To participate, the account must be paid in full and on time each month.
