James Parrish Memorial -- Sept. 2009 -- Wiregrass Electric's board president James Parrish passed away on Aug. 28, 2009. He understood the mission of Wiregrass Electric Cooperative and led by example as he worked to do what was in the best interest of the members. He will be missed.
Improving reliability with new substation -- Sept. 2009 -- WEC, with the help of PowerSouth Energy, is taking steps to improve reliability and customer satisfaction with the construction of a new substation in the Dothan area.
Tribute to Archie Enfinger, 57 year veteran of WEC -- June 2009 -- Archie Enfinger, a 57-year lineman with Wiregrass Electric Cooperative, was interviewed in 2006 about changes in the electric industry. Enfinger passed away on May 31, 2009, remembered as the longest-serving employee in WEC history.
